2024 season Super Three-League Beijing Championship kicked off on the evening of July 5th at Xiwai Cultural and Leisure Square in Xicheng District, Beijing. Beijing, the first "double Olympics city" in history, demonstrates the city's development strength and international influence. This Beijing Championship, being held in the capital for the first time, will create a unique viewing experience for football fans in Xicheng District, where prosperity and fashion coexist.

Song Mei, Deputy District Governor of Xicheng District, Wang Jian, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Beijing Kontong Group, Chai Wensheng, Head of the Chinese Basketball Association's Three-on-three Basketball National Team, Su Jun, Head of the Competitions and Sports Division of the Beijing Sports Bureau, Guo Jiashen, Secretary of the Party Group and Director of the Xicheng District Sports Bureau, Hu Jinlong, Minister of the Propaganda Department of the Beijing Kontong Group, Yan Xiaoming, General Manager of Shenzhen Basketball (Beijing) Co., Ltd., and Xue Zhengwu, Secretary General of the Beijing Basketball Association attended the opening ceremony. Huang Rong, Vice-General Manager of Beijing Kontong Basketball Club and Executive Director of Beijing Purple Forbidden Warriors Basketball Club, delivered a speech.

Yan Xiaoming, General Manager of Shenzhen Basketball (Beijing) Co., Ltd., delivered a speech. In his speech, Yan Xiaoming first acknowledged the profound historical and cultural heritage and strong basketball atmosphere in Xicheng District of Beijing, and offered blessings to the Chinese men's and women's three-on-three basketball national teams who are about to compete in the Paris Olympic Games in 21 days, hoping that they will strive hard and achieve great results. Yan Xiaoming also expressed heartfelt thanks to the support units of the competition, the Xicheng District Sports Bureau, the organizer Beijing Purple Forbidden Warriors Basketball Club, the league's official media strategic partner China Mobile Migu, and the official sponsors Xtep and Yibao, as well as the official suppliers Spalding, Enlio sports flooring, and Jinling sports, the league's official content partners, and the media friends for their strong support.

Then, Song Mei, Deputy District Governor of Xicheng District, announced the start of the 2024 season Super Three-League Beijing Championship, which was greeted with warm applause.

The opening game was played between the host team Beijing Kontong and Chengdu Hezhong. Beijing Kontong quickly got into the groove and took a 3-0 lead. Although Chengdu Hezhong tried to strengthen their defense and temporarily tied the score at 5-5, they paid the price of committing too many fouls and exhausting too much energy. Led by Yang Haozhe, Beijing Kontong surged forward and ultimately won the game with a score of 20-11. Yang Haozhe performed well, scoring 8 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals.

Chen Guohao, Yi Jinhong, and head coach Min Lulei, members of the Beijing Kontong Basketball Club, appeared at the Super Three-League venue to cheer for the Beijing Kontong Three-League Basketball Club.

According to the championship format, the group stage will be held on July 5th and 6th, and the champion team will be determined through the knockout stage on July 7th. The top eight teams will share a prize pool of one million RMB. The final will continue at Xiwai Cultural and Leisure Square in Xicheng District on the evening of July 7th, where teams will compete for the championship title.

The Super Three-League is jointly organized by the Chinese Basketball Association and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Shenzhen Basketball (Beijing) Co., Ltd. It is the highest-level three-on-three basketball event in China. At the same time, the Super Three-League is the fourth professional basketball event in China, following CBA, WCBA, and NBL. This season, the Super Three-League adopts a tournament format, with ten tournament zones including Deqing, Shenzhen, Guiyang, Wuxi, Chengdu, Jingjiang, Wuhan, Chongming, Guangzhou, and Nanchang, as well as four championship tournament zones in Ningbo, Beijing, Zhangjiagang, and Chongqing. From May 24th to November 10th, 19 Super Three-League clubs will compete in a five-month-long season including regular season, playoffs, and finals, in order to determine the ultimate champion.
